This week on Redefining Work Reports, I dug into 麦肯锡 's robust State of Organizations 2023 Report.
The report examines 10 major shifts that are transforming organizations. These include increasing speed and resilience, true hybrids, AI, new rules of attraction and retention, skills and capability development, talent tightropes, inspiring leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging progress, mental health support, and organizational efficiency.
So, what does this mean for HR and people teams?
Quite a lot, actually. I broke down some of the stats I found most interesting in the podcast like the one below.
Your highest performers are 800% more productive than your average performers in the same role.
You can check out these stats and more in the episode below.
This week I also introduced two new tools to help Redefiners get more value and utility from each podcast.
[00:03:16] The value of high performer
[00:04:08] Organizational resilience
[00:08:41] Mental health in the workplace
[00:12:39] NASA’s April Jordan preview: building diversity in astronaut corpss
2. I'm also using a new AI tool (Swell AI) to embed a chatbot on each episode where you can ask questions about that episode’s content. I'm excited about the possibilities here to make these episodes more interactive and increase their learning value. You can take that for a spin on this week's podcast episode page.
Coming Up Next
On Monday's episode, I sit down with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Head of Astronaut Selection April Jordan for a fascinating look inside the astronaut selection process.
We cover a range of topics, including the historical significance of the crew representation in the Artemis II mission. Here's a preview.
