Highlights from LCDA's 9th Annual Board Leaders Convening

LCDA convened the largest gathering of Latino business leaders to date with over 400 Members, CEOs, diversity allies, and corporate partners including; Fortune 1000 companies, private equity, and search firms. During the 9th Annual Board Leaders Convening, attendees gathered for an impactful three days of learning, networking, and celebrating the influence of Latino leadership and inclusive governance. The Convening featured trending corporate governance topics and included breakout sessions for intimate peer learning with the nation’s leading business figures. A highlight was an exclusive fireside chat with Bill Ford, Executive Chair of 福特 and Kimberly Casiano , Independent Director at Ford Motor Company. Attendees gained valuable insights into his visionary leadership, discussing the evolving role of boardrooms in guiding legacy companies through technological transformation, sustainability initiatives, and global market challenges.

This year, we hit major milestones:?

• A record-breaking number of attendees (400+), showcasing the strength and growth of our network.
• The largest representation ever of current and former public CEOs as main stage speakers.
• An unprecedented number of sponsors supporting our mission and vision.
• For the first-time, main stage sessions were recorded to allow LCDA Members access to the valuable content.
• Enhanced experiences including the Corporate Visionary Awards After Party celebrating our collective successes in meaningful and memorable ways.
• Introduced new live certification courses (AI and Human Capital) through our partnership with Diligent.
• Showcased LCDA’s "Decade of Impact" short clip, celebrating ten years of achievements. The full video will be released in January 2025–featuring more LCDA Members and Partners.

Attendees celebrated the LCDA 2024 Corporate Visionary Awardees and the inaugural LCDA Pioneer Award. Ambassador Vilma Socorro Martínez was honored as the first recipient of the LCDA Pioneer Award for her exemplary board service across multiple sectors. She graciously accepted the award on behalf of Pastora San Juan Cafferty, Herman Gallegos, Ignacio Eugenio Lozano Jr., Luis Nogales, and Daniel D. Villanueva Sr., PhD, recognizing their pioneering contributions and enduring impact on advancing Latino representation in corporate leadership. LCDA Board Member Victor Arias presented this prestigious award during the Corporate Visionary Awards Reception and Dinner.

This year, LCDA proudly recognized California Resources Corporation (CRC), Dollar General, Stearns Bank N.A., and TelevisaUnivision for their outstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion by having two or more US Latinos on their boards.

In 2025, we will return to California, the state of our inaugural Convening, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Annual Board Leaders Convening!
