Highlighting the program for Meeting C++ 2024

While there is still some changes coming, I wanted to highlight the first release of the program! With the voting ending on August 11th, the accepted talks are now on the website. The conference it self is less than 3 months away (14th - 16th November).

This year saw 125 active voting sessions, and the result helped a lot with picking the right talks for the conference!

And through this voting, these talks made it into the top 11 - forming the main track:

  • Andreas Weis - C++ Modules - Getting Started Today
  • Roth Michaels - Templates made easy with C++20: how constexpr/constexpr, fold expressions, and concepts change how we write code
  • Bryce Adelstein Lelbach - The C++ Execution Model
  • Klaus Iglberger - There is no Silver Bullet
  • Klaus Iglberger - Design Patterns - The Most Common Misconceptions (2 of N)
  • Boguslaw Cyganek - Pipeline architectures in C++: overloaded pipe operator |, std::expected and its monadic operations
  • Nico Josuttis - C++ Concepts: What you should know and how to use them right
  • Peter Muldoon - Dependency Injection in C++ : A Practical Guide
  • Jonathan Müller - An (In-)Complete Guide to C++ Object Lifetimes
  • Bryce Adelstein Lelbach - Think Parallel
  • Sandor Dargo - Clean code! Horrible performance?
  • Andreas Fertig - Fast and small C++ - When efficiency matters
  • Timur Doumler - Contracts for C++

Only this years conference will feature 4 keynotes by Titus Winters, Hana Dusíková, Herb Sutter and Peter Sommerlad. Its too early to really have details on the keynotes, but I do look forward to what all of them have to say. Though for Herb Sutter this years opening keynote for CppCon might give a hint.

The event will feature 4 tracks with 11 slots, 44 Talks in total. These tracks are known as A - D, A to C will be hybrid and feature a livestream to the online part. The D Track is online only. All talks will be available as recordings after the conference to ticket holders.

I want to mention that the student and support programs offer limited free tickets for the online and onsite event.
