Step 3: Format Menu

Let us get to Conditional Formatting by clicking the "Format" menu at the top of the screen. From the dropdown menu, choose "Conditional formatting."

Step 4: Conditional Format

Setting up the Condition instructs the sheet on what has to be done.

In the Conditional formatting pane on the right side of the screen, look for the "Format cells if" dropdown menu. Click on it and then choose "Custom formula is" from the list.

Enter the Formula below:

=A1>10

Note: Replace "A1" with the cell reference of the top-left cell in your selected range. If you selected the entire sheet in step 2, the formula will automatically adjust for each cell.

Step 5: The Formatting Style

After you've entered the formula, select the "Formatting style" dropdown menu. You can select how you wish the cells to be formatted when the condition is met. For example, you can alter the background or text color.

Once you've chosen your formatting style, click the "Done" button. Google Sheets will apply conditional formatting to the selected range based on the condition you specify.
