Jeff Bezos, began his journey by selling books online from his garage in Seattle. Then he went on to establish one of the top online retailers in the world, Amazon.com. He also dabbles in many other ventures, including his aerospace company Blue Origin and the Washington Post which he purchased in 2013.
He was named as the "richest man in modern history" after his net worth increased to $150 billion in July 2018. Bezos owns 12 percent of the world's largest online retailer. His stake is disclosed in a November 2019 SEC filing. Today, Amazon sells millions of different products, many of which are purveyed by third-party vendors that rely on Amazon's data management services to help fulfill their orders.
