Higher US market close yesterday aids European markets

Ahead of today's session: markets had an interesting day yesterday; Dow Jones closed the day at 34,200, having gained 0.64%. Nasdaq gained 0.64% and closed at 11,000. S&P 500 ended the session at 3,983.17 after a 0.34% gain. The Energy sector gained 2.18%.
US markets are currently closed but will resume today in around 5 hours time. European markets are trending positively as FTSE added 0.64% to trade at 7,843.62. Asia-Pacific markets ended a mixed session today whilst Nikkei slips to 26,120 (down 1.25%).
In a good day for stocks and bonds, US government bond yields suffered as investor attention turned toward a hawkish Fed. The iShares U.S. Treasury Bond ETF has gone up 0.82% to trade at $23.38, thereby indicating that government bond yields were downbeat across the yield curve.
Uptick coincides with some positive signs published earlier as United States Initial Jobless Claims beat analyst expectations of 215,000 and the previous reading of 206,000 with new data of 205,000.
Today's rise takes place amid mixed market indicators -- United States Consumer Price Index released yesterday at 13:30 UTC with a figure of -0.1%, while the previous figure was 0.1%. United States Core Consumer Prices came out at 0.3%, while a consensus of analysts was expecting 0.3%.
While most stocks did well yesterday, some did better than others as Arrival trades at 54 cents having gained 100%. Carvana Co. (up 46%) is also performing well.
Yesterday's bullishness contained stock stragglers as Taboola closed at $3.19 having dropped 5.9%.
