Higher Standards

Being a salesperson, in my opinion, is like playing golf; you compete against a standard. In golf the standards are set by others and is called par; in sales the standards are set by the salesperson or sales manager, and are called budgets. 

When you are in sales, you can regulate your income by raising your goals and you do that by raising your standards. Observing many people over the years it seems people meet their standards, so, the question is; what are yours?
