The relevance of having HIGH-SECURITY NUMBER PLATE (HSNP) for your vehicle
Combination of digits and alphabets on any vehicle which provides a unique identity to your vehicle is known as the vehicle number plate. The Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 has made it compulsory for any vehicle owner to drive a vehicle with a number plate. Any unregistered number on a vehicle is considered to be violating the rules and are liable to heavy fines. Nowadays, with the news coming in, it is mandatory to have high-security number, (HSRP) for every vehicle running on the road.

? Because it is for safety purpose, it doesn’t cost much. For four-wheelers, it costs 334/-, Two-wheelers it is 111/-, for all the other commercial vehicle, it is 258/-. INR.
? There is good news for all the new vehicle buyers. They need not worry about the long queue to fix the HSRP’s to their vehicles. All the new vehicles come fitted with the HSRP. Whereas, the existing vehicles with the old number plates are given 2 years for getting that plate installed to their vehicles.
