High Risk ‘Body-Fat’ Men Should Avoid.
Ever wondered why some men over 30 have slim arms and legs, yet their belly looks like they’re in the 2nd or 3rd trimester?...
Some also call it the ‘Dad-bod’ or ‘Pot belly’... Well, there's actually a cause for that.?So, keep reading and I'll show you what the cause of this bloated-belly is and how you can fix it… Without sacrificing your business growth, family priorities or lifestyle.
The first thing you need to know:
There are 2 types of body-fat…?
The problem is, visceral fat is “bad” for our health, because science has proven it to be ‘biologically active’...
Which means it produces harmful proteins called ‘cytokines’, which trigger low-level inflammation in your body and can also elevate cholesterol by releasing a higher amount of fatty-acids into the blood-stream.
So, men who grew a belly over 5 to 10 years, actually gained more and more visceral fat. And as a result, it's common for their testosterone to decline, along with their metabolism…?Making it easier to gain more body-fat, and harder to lose it.
What causes men over 30 gain more visceral fat?
Well the good news is… The leading cause of gaining more visceral fat is not genetics or body-shape or any other magical factor that Doctors or gurus want you to believe (so you buy their supplements)...
It’s actually driven by your “muscle-to-fat ratio”. I'll show you how in a sec.
See, the real issue starts around the time that men start their own business, get married and or become a father…Often all within a short period of time.?
And the combination of juggling a new world of priorities, takes up all their spare time, elevates their stress, Interrupts their sleep and causes them to snack and drink more to relax or get that extra hit of energy…
Put simply, the days of hitting the gym every day with the boys, going for runs or playing rounds of golf, and being active with low stress and plenty of sleep, while eating and drinking anything they wanted… Are history.?
And as a result, this causes their 'muscle mass’ to fade away, while body-fat increases.?This is also why men say “In my 30s, my metabolism slowed down”...?
Well it slowed down because their body went from having a high muscle mass… to a high fat-mass.?
But here’s the catch… Unlike subcutaneous fat (under the skin)... The body stores MORE visceral fat when muscle decreases (fast).
For example, this is also why, ‘Sumo-Wrestlers’ have relatively healthy Visceral fat ratios… I know that sounds crazy, but it's true…?
Because even though they can weigh upwards of 600 LBS / 272 kgs… And look visibly obese… Their visceral fat levels aren’t a problem.
Why?
... Because they have a HIGH muscle ratio!
^^ That’s a BIG clue right there.?
So, muscle seemingly has a protective effect against Visceral fat. Men with a higher muscle mass are less likely to have a high visceral fat ratio.

And this is also why I don’t tell clients to do hours of cardio or HIIT classes 5 or more days a week… Because not only is that unsustainable for their schedule and difficult to maintain…?But too much cardio and light-weight training does NOT build lean enough muscle, and doing it often makes men hungrier from doing too much at once.
In fact, my clients are only allowed to do 3 workouts a week. Because they can always fit 3 into their schedule and see themselves consistently get stronger week after week, without burning out, losing motivation or getting injured.?
And when they get down to 17% body fat or less, their body shape looks toned and athletic like (and often better than how they looked in their 20s).?
How can you achieve results like this??
Well, if you’re over 30 and want to lose the belly (or dad-bod), without regaining…?And get your lean body back long-term, without sacrificing more time in your business, missing out on family dinners or networking drinks…?
Then here’s a quick checklist you can follow, which has helped my clients drop 20 to 50 and even over 100 LBS… While building more muscle in less time:?
1) Incorporate progressive strength based training 3 days a week (at least 30 minutes per session)
This will gradually strip away visceral fat by increasing your muscle, without becoming a gym-addict. And you can do this at home with basic equipment too to save more time.
2) Match your training and activity level with a high-protein, flexible nutrition strategy. This way, you’ll be fueling your muscle mass, metabolism and energy, without feeling starving
The key is to get your body into a “metabolic-deficit”.
This means your body will be burning more body-fat each week, without starving yourself and missing out on your favorite foods.
3) Keep your daily movement consistent.
You don’t need to hike Kilimanjaro every day, however, keeping a consistent movement trend helps my clients predictably drop 4-8 LBS (2-4 kg's) every month, without burning out or losing momentum.?
And your total daily movement will burn more fat than 30 minutes of cardio will. (not saying cardio is bad, but doing too much cardio isn’t sustainable for most guys with a business and family).
4) Use biofeedback data to track, measure and manage your progress and to optimize your nutrition and workouts KPIs.
By using data, my clients know what works for them and can still enjoy dinners out or drinks at a party, because they know what their budget is…
And the data removes frustration when they hit a plateau, because they can see what the problem is and implement a protocol to fix it (with my 1on1 help).
With those 4 points you can’t go wrong. And the best part is, even the busiest CEOs and entrepreneurs I know can do all this…?
How?
Well a bunch of the men I work with travel almost every week or month and still consistently drop body-fat, while eating at restaurants and working out in different places. And even clients with 3-4 children and a wife to provide for, still fit in their 3 workouts a week and eat dinner with the family... If they can do it, so can you.?
The only difference is, my clients who’ve transformed their bodies have a clear, personalized program they can follow long-term, without stopping and starting like a yo-yo.?
And it’s not rocket science, it’s simple metabolic science.?
By the way, if this approach seems like it could be up your alley to get your lean body back, drop 2-3 pant sizes, fit into your favorite suits again and feel comfortable with your shirt off at the beach and in the bedroom…?
