Protein is an essential part of our diets, as it serves a variety of different
functions within the body.?
First and foremost, protein is responsible for building and maintaining the
structure of your body - muscles, bones, cartilage, skin, hair, and nails.
Additionally, it plays an important role in immune function, cellular
metabolism and even hormonal health.
Because of these diverse roles, we must make sure to incorporate protein into
our diets on a regular basis.
There are many different sources of protein that we can choose from –
including animal products like meat and eggs, as well as plant-based options
such as beans, nuts, and quinoa.
Ultimately, your goal should be to consume around 1.8-2 g per kg of body
weight daily.
