High Profile Industry Advocate Wasim Jarrah Moves His Concierge Realty Group to eXp Realty

Wasim Jarrah is not just a successful real estate broker in Newmarket, Ontario, he’s also widely regarded for his years of industry advocacy in Ottawa, Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). He formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Government Relations Committee for Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA), lobbying government officials on residential and commercial real estate issues that affect member Realtors? and the public they serve by providing input into important decisions that have consequences for homeowners, renters and investors.

He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) and Director of the Board of the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce.?

Now, this well-respected industry proponent and entrepreneur is moving his Concierge Realty Group to eXp Realty, officially joining on April 29, and bringing with him a wealth of experience successfully charting the political lobbying landscape in favor of the Canadian real estate business.

Wasim has been recognized with many business and community awards and accolades, including:

  • Real Estate Institute of Canada Young Professional of the Year Award (2023)
  • Community Leader of the Year, Keller Williams Realty Centres (2023)
  • Community Service Award, Real Estate Institute of Canada, Toronto Chapter (2022)
  • Currently nominated for Business Leader of the Year, Central York Chamber of Commerce (2024)

eXp Realty’s Core Values Align With Wasim and His Team

Wasim feels eXp Realty resonates with his team’s values and culture. The move is also the beginning of an alliance with Calgary’s Justin Havre, Waterloo’s Ibrahim Hussein and Vancouver’s , – three top producers who have been instrumental in growing eXp’s agent base in Canada.??

“The level of network at eXp is unmatched,” said Wasim. “I believe the ‘network is your net worth’ if you are or want to be a high-functioning team. As a Canadian real estate team with the desire to go to the next level, I want to surround myself with movers and shakers like Justin, Ibrahim, and Katrina.

“I also like the facility of ease to expand my business around the world without artificial lines and boundaries. I can diversify my income through eXp’s stock options and revenue share and optimistically grow my team to 10 agents by the end of 2024.”

From Electrical Engineer to Real Estate Broker: Wasim’s Journey

Wasim, who immigrated from Lebanon in 1988 to escape the country’s civil war, was originally trained as an electrical engineer. He stumbled into the world of real estate after finding his previous profession isolating. Investing in condos in Toronto in 2006 sparked his interest in real estate, where he discovered a passion for working with people and sales.

With eight years at Royal LePage, a stint at Home Life, and most recently, eight years at Keller Williams Realty Centres, Wasim’s focus on referrals has been key to his success. Additionally, he represents several charity organizations in his community, handling their real estate portfolios.?

“We’re all about the relationship,” said Wasim. “Our fully integrated client services extend beyond the five-star selling and buying experience. If you’re expecting an out-of-towner for the weekend, we’ll send a pick-up car. If you’d love to go to a (NHL team) Leafs hockey game, we’ll snag tickets for you. Need a meal sent in? You’re covered.”?

Community Service and His Many Avenues of Giving Back

Wasim’s deep passion lies in philanthropy and community involvement, as he and his team actively volunteer and support grassroots organizations focused on providing food and housing for the most vulnerable.

Breezing through Wasim’s Instagram, it’s flooded with posts supporting nonprofits and others who need food, money or housing. He doesn’t just pay lip service to community involvement, he is right at the center, making change happen. Some examples include:

  • Supporting Aurora transitional housing for men trying to get a fresh start
  • Cooking Halal meals for the Newmarket food pantry and leading a food drive
  • Donating a portion of the proceeds from his new business investment, Supermoon Japanese Cheesecake to Blue Door Shelters, an emergency housing provider.?
  • Working with Community Living of Central York, a non-profit, charitable organization that supports people with an intellectual disability.

Even his son Milan got into the act in which his gorgeous long locks were cut and the hair was donated to a cancer organization.

“I am committed to giving back. “I try to leverage my advocacy profile in the industry to help those who need help – it’s very much aligned with eXp’s most successful teams,” said Wasim. “My community is the most important asset we have in Newmarket. My reach and reputation allow us to help make meaningful change.”

Another example of extraordinary talent worldwide coming to eXp Realty for the differences it can make for all the agents, not just the ones at the top. Reach out to me to see if this might make sense for you, your team, or your company.
