High Performing Teams

Last Thursday we were delighted to host an event in Dublin to discuss high performing teams with Gary Keegan (high performance coach) providing the keynote address. We were joined by over 100 guests - our customers, collaborators, and friends from across the IT community. The very mention of the word ‘team’ gets the heart pumping and the energy in the room was high. Teaming in this context is about finding ways of achieving great outcomes when working with people inside and outside an organisation. We are witnessing a shift towards partnerships as a way of unlocking greater potential and accelerating business change; making this topic very relevant.

It’s our view that when organisations come together with a shared context, we get better aligned projects and outcomes; greater clarity on how value is being created and a quickening of the pace; and proper focus on innovation. Given the challenges and opportunities we already understand and what awaits us in the road ahead, partnerships and cohesive ecosystems have become essential.

First up, Greg Lenehan from Musgrave took us through the Musgrave story, and their impressive and continued growth trajectory. We at Peru Consulting have worked closely with Musgrave to put a strategic IT partnership in place, and this is now a key pillar in how they face the future confidently.

It was an honour to have Gary Keegan talk about the science of high performance. Gary drew parallels between sports and business, speaking about all aspects of high performance including the significance of the environment in driving behaviours and outcomes. Gary has been working with the Irish Rugby team over recent years and has clearly done an outstanding job. Unsurprisingly there was a very lively Q&A session and some great conversation afterwards.

Thanks again to Greg, Gary and to everyone who joined us on the night.

Great event, well done Emma Shepley and the Brian's. The event highlighted the many similarities in Team dynamics across business and sport - in fact the way Gary describes Andy Farrell suggests CEO as much as Head Coach. #partnership #teams #performance #innovation #change #leadership
