High conflict is a theme in family law, between clients and practitioners. As practitioners, is our role only to identify the legislation and cases and apply them so that we can aim for the best result or do we need to have an understanding of high conflict personalities, involving clients and others practitioners, and how to manage them? Do we want to allow HCP's to railroad the dispute and increase the conflict so that its more difficult to resolve? This applies whether it be in litigation, mediation or collaborative law practices? How to upskill and gain knowledge of HCP?
