High Altitude Insecurities on Flight to Join Heavy Hitters

Join me as I brain dump what the heck is going through my mind as I’m sipping wine in first class and staring at my cloth napkin. No, this is not my typical seat on a plane - but my seat choice is very intentional.

Not going to lie - I’m so flippin' excited! I'm on my way to a biz event in Cabo. The group is called Baby Bathwater. Are you asking, ‘What kinda weird group is that, Midori?!’

Okay, truth-up - I’m getting super stretchy. These people are all bada*ses - and somehow, I’m going too! I’m noticing I’ve had to remind myself of all the accomplishments I’ve had and why the f’ I belong here.

I’ve struggled with - omg, I’m going to be the oldest woman here to crap, I haven’t created a tech-based biz, nor have I sold any of my companies for gazillions.

I’m big time stepping into the concept of ‘your network is your net worth’. I have loved business since I was young, and truthfully, it’s in my bones.

Along my entrepreneurial journey, I got derailed. Fell in love, married my college sweetheart (actually met on our high school grad trip in front of Senior Frogs in Mazatlan. Story for another day!), had kids, started first biz -> got crazy burned out. Ended up sinking into a depression.

Now is my flipping time! I’m in first class, drinking wine, and mentally stepping up. And - it’s intimidating as hell.

Here’s the takeaway message for you. I don’t care what age you are - recognize the stage and own it 100%.?Don't let your experience and lessons go to waste. We only have one time around, so let's go for it!

I’m embracing this chapter because I’ve successfully raised my kids and have a shit ton of wisdom to share from growing businesses - even if they never sold for an amount that allows me to buy a sports team. Also, I super love my clients and I owe this to them.
