The Hidden Gems

The Hidden Gems

In the world of digital changes, our internal communities play a huge role.

Taking inspiration from Neetan Chopra's book, 'Accelerated Digital Transformation', and drawing on my own experience of seeing these communities in action, I've attempted to explain the concept of 'Communities of Passion' that Mr. Chopra so passionately describes in his book.

A Community of Talent:

I believe everyone in our organization, not just the tech teams, should be excited about technology. To ensure the triumph of digital transformation programs, it is therefore essential to identify and nurture talent across all facets of the organization. These hidden gems, often nestled within hierarchies, may possess tech-related expertise from a from a variety of sources (e.g. their academic journeys, certifications) that remains untapped. We need to bring them into the spotlight and give them a platform to collaborate and excel.

A Pool of Multipliers:

When a pool of diverse talent converge, magic can happen. Collaborating on innovative endeavors, they can craft integrated experiences and stand as role models for the underlying capabilities crucial for successful transformation journeys. By amplifying these voices and contributions within the organization, the impact multiplies exponentially.

A Carefully Chosen Coterie of Catalysts:

It's crucial to find gems who truly represent the organization's values. These are the talents who can spark interest, inspire passion in others, and tell compelling stories. In short, they're great at showing the impact they make, leaving a lasting impression on experiences and lives.

Thriving in Continuous Change:

In the ever-evolving landscape of digital transformation, ‘Stagnation is a luxury we cannot afford’. So, we need people in the program who not only handle change well but actually do better because of it. They're like the tough plants that grow stronger in the wind. They don't just adapt, they use setbacks and changes as valuable chances to learn and push us forward.

As we embark on this transformative journey, let us remember that it is not merely about technology; it is about the people who champion it and the communities that amplify its impact.

Very well said. Digital transformation will need those new creative views.. If someone is passionate, he will find one new transformative idea that can be catalyst to Digital transformation.
