6 个月With all those so-called reference checks and impressive backgrounds, is anyone truly making the organization—or the world—better? I believe in giving people chances and training them, rather than relying solely on glowing references. Sometimes, people lie about their previous colleagues if they're friends, so why place so much trust in these checks? What if that person had a narcissistic boss/coworker who may unfairly criticize their work ethic? Instead of dismissing someone based on biased opinions from others, why not use common sense and empathy, try trust their words, and give them an opportunity or train them to fit your company? When a company demands years of experience and impressive backgrounds, it often signals an unwillingness to invest in training—they may be too lazy or indifferent. This mindset can lead to any company’s downfall. If someone is very insightful and shows passion for the role, they deserve a chance, especially if they are enthusiastic about the position. It’s also often unfair to expect junior-level candidates to have extensive experience or a perfect background. Keep in mind that some of the greatest minds in history didn’t start with impressive backgrounds when they began their careers.
