# 5Lessons I learned from #Maryam /# Hidar Tsion and my action notes.
1. Axum is one of the best historic and religious
# attractions in the world but one of the worst
# destinations except that it’s amazing and hospitable people’s reception compensate for it. No good hotels, parks, roads and so on.
If I was the #mayor I would build parks , standard public bathrooms, Hotels and use it to accommodate tourists. Then use that money to build more, If private investors are not interested
2. The 6000 old city of Axum had 260 kings. That’s a crazy number but it reminds me how severe Ethiopia’s deterioration have been since the Fall of the kingdom . #BackToOrigin is the most feasible solution.
3. How beautiful Tigrigna # Gospel # song is. I don’t know if the song that was playing on the live transmission was from Tigray or Eritrea but it doesn’t matter, it just shows how beautiful Tigrigna Gospel songs can be. Even myself would go to church every morning if I was going to hear songs like that .
Which means the original “kidase” “ mezmur”, “tselot” “barkot” in Tigrigna should be restored in no time .
4. The visitors from Eritrea (specially two guys interviewed from Asmara) just made me say “ oh! men, the problem was only between the governments”. Their joy to be in Mariam Axum was priceless.
There brainwashing of the government is not easy to fix but the people to people relations may trigger the past memories and facts.
5. Lastly, Tigray Tv is so sickening and disappointing. That media is not under appropriate experts at all. I even doubt if there is one expert in there.
fellows who live in mekelle please go visit them, talk to them , pressure them, right letters to the communication bureau, write letters to the President. instead of criticizing them on Facebook, go talk to them. And Media professionals apply for jobs there , try to force the cadres to resign. Media is a place for professionals, the cadres can work on the politics .
