"Hi Ren": The Bohemian Rhapsody of Our Generation

This is not my standard marketing article about good customer experiences or how to emotionalize a brand. I simply must share and write about a piece of art that you should look at:

A few months ago, a close friend sent me a link to a music video, insisting that I watch it. Little did I know that I was about to witness one of the most emotionally gripping moments in music that I've ever encountered. I've never felt such a deep connection to an artist, song, and its lyrics, and I feel compelled to share and write about it.

In "Hi Ren," independent artist Ren Gill from Brighton, UK, masterfully translates the inner battle that so many people face today into a powerful piece of art. To me, this is the Bohemian Rhapsody of our generation.

With mental illness on the rise and people increasingly disconnected from their inner child, soul, and purpose, many are aimlessly chasing validation from the external world, only to find it ultimately unfulfilling.

Having spent the last eight years in corporate environments and top management boards, I've seen firsthand the soul-crushing effects of greed, backstabbing, and the fear of losing power - all to hide one's own inner struggle and vulnerability. In such a world, a song like this is a breath of fresh air.

I, too, have embarked on a journey to seek validation from the outside world, stemming from childhood trauma that left me feeling unworthy and inadequate. Today, I am grateful for every painful experience, as each one provided an opportunity to learn and grow, ultimately shaping who I am today. However, it's crucial to reconnect with our inner selves, to rediscover our soul's purpose, and to quiet our ego and inner critic more frequently. Embracing authenticity and staying true to ourselves is far more valuable than succumbing to external temptations, which only serve to mislead us and perpetuate our struggles.

Since its launch on December 15th last year, "Hi Ren" has become a viral sensation with more than 8 million views (impressive for a nearly 10-minute video by an "unknown artist") and hundreds of authentic, real-time reactions from YouTubers who record themselves listening to it. I wholeheartedly believe that this incredibly talented artist deserves every music award available this year. I've never encountered anything more powerful, with lyrics so profound that they bring me to tears every time I listen.
