HI I'M AWESOME, DON'T BE THREATENED

Throughout my life I've noticed reactions people have to the success of others. Some celebrate others, genuinely finding happiness for them. Others, not so much, perhaps feeling jealous or envying the rewards they see others achieve. How do you react to others' success? With inspiration or frustration?

Unfortunately, there are too many people in this planet that feel threatened by the success of others. They feel that if other people have achieved so much and they haven't, that means they're less than. I'm here to tell you this isn't the case. Many people around us will either have more or less than us, in many ways, not just career wise, financial or in love. We have multiple aspects to who we are and where one of us may have better success in relationships, others may have better success in health. We are not one dimensional so certainly we won't be on top of our game in all aspects of life. Since we grow and learn constantly, we need to improve anyway and that means we can't be at the peak at all times, and who wants to be? We know that won't bring us satisfaction. With all that, some of us seem to be blessed more than others, yet if you look deeper, and really inquire if others are just "blessed" you may see that their hard work, dedication and commitment allowed them to achieve all they have, and made it seem that they are blessed.
We are not one dimensional so certainly we won't be on top of our game in all aspects of life.
If you meet someone who has traveled the world, has no debt, has a lot of life experience or academic education, speaks multiple languages and is open to others' opinions, don't be threatened by them because you can do the same thing. No one says you can't travel or learn new languages or get the academic or technical degree/certification you've wanted forever. We have to stop making excuses, stop feeling threatened by others and stop using our threatened experience to lash out. If someone around us is awesome, celebrate that and use that to be encouraged to be more, be better and achieve all you've ever wanted.

This will make our interactions with others and our relationship with ourself even better. We will be better citizens of the world and not use our lack of confidence in ourselves to tear others down, especially if they work hard to be and do better. Rather, follow in that same path of hard work leading to success and you too will be awesome and not threatened.
I encourage us all to recognize our strength rather than focusing on others before ourselves.
I encourage us all to recognize our strength rather than focusing on others before ourselves. Too much time is spent looking outside ourselves and forgetting about us. Look within and see what awesome qualities you possess and what makes you great. Don't bring others down because you think they're better than you. If you do or they prove to be in some aspect of life, how can you be better, not to compete with them but to challenge yourself. To be a better version of you and be a better example to those that influence you.
If you're wise enough to learn, you'll be pleasantly surprised that most people want to share...
The worst part about feeling threatened by the success of others is when you're in a position of influence and let your insecurity bring others down. Just because you're insecure about one aspect of yourself doesn't mean you have the right to just tear someone else down because you think they're farther along on that aspect than you are. Have some humble pie and ask them how they got their even if you're their superior. If you're wise enough to learn, you'll be pleasantly surprised that most people want to share, especially those who have worked hard to get to where they are rather than cutting corners. If they achieved a goal, most people will be delighted to talk to you about that goal because they're proud of that achievement. Do the same thing because all of us have achieved greatness. Share your story of success with others, be an influence for those around you, be curious and celebrate the success of others. Find your confidence in that you will never know everything, there are people who know more than you and rather than feeling threatened by that, use it to propel you and society forward.
