Hi fellow entrepreneurs
The difference between wishing, hoping and succeeding comes down to just a few things. One of those is luck. In fact, in a survey conducted by EY about a decade ago, they surveyed thousands of successful entrepreneurs and asked them to rank, out of 28 reasons, the top factor that made them successful.
The most common factor stated was hard work. Ranked number 28 out of 28 was luck. Yet on further investigation, you see that 100% of the respondents had luck as one of their top 10 reasons for success. When asked why they did not rank luck higher, the common response was that everyone has luck, but most people don’t do anything with it.
The second thing that distinguishes success from hoping and wishing is intentionality. Being intentional and deliberate about the actions you take on a daily basis puts you streets ahead of your competitors who move from day to day simply dealing with whatever life throws at them. How intentional are you? How deliberate are you about the things you do every day that will move you closer to what you want, to your vision?
This week’s edition of The Unfair Advantage highlights the importance of being deliberate and will hopefully provide you with sufficient examples to shift you to a more deliberate approach to your own success. Enjoy.
