Is timelag a drag for your nutrient neutrality assessment?

We can help developers achieve nutrient neutrality by assessing the time lag between reducing nutrient loading and the impact reaching the water environment. Development achieves nutrient neutrality when the nutrient load created through additional wastewater (including surface water) from the development is mitigated.

??Exploring the PFAS-Landfill Connection

Landfills make toxic liquid hazardous to drinking water” said The Guardian in a recent article, which covered “forever chemicals” PFAS that are resistant to degradation, and berated the Environment Agency for not knowing which landfills contained them.

??Remediation Strategy approved for Green Soils

We often use ‘Green’ to mean eco-friendly, but at our project site in Devon the soils are literally green! Impacted by Copper -chrome-arsenate, historically used as a timber preservative, these soils need remediating to protect the underlying aquifer.

We have several projects on the go and in the pipeline for groundwater dewatering to support construction, and we can report that there are significant hold-ups with the licensing process at the moment.
