HFA Patch Party: The Fun & Easy Way to Make It Personal

Can you remember searching gift shops for wearables and other items with your name printed on them? If your name is a bit unusual, you might have left disappointed or had to settle for a variation of your name’s spelling. It’s much more fun to get a personalized gift created just for you -- or to create one yourself! Now Hawaii Fluid Art is making it easy for you to create personalized trucker hats, jackets, beanies, bags -- and much more -- in our studios, with a new experience we call Patch Party.

Why Trucker Hats?

The trucker hat first became popular in the early 1970’s as a promotional giveaway from feed or farming supply companies to farmers, truck drivers (hence the name) or other rural workers. As companies realized trucker hats’ potential for advertising and promotion, they also became known as “feed hats” or “gimme hats.” Whatever you call them, they are timeless and comfortable, with a wide front panel that makes the ideal platform for personalization.

How Patch Party Works

Each of our Hawaii Fluid Art studios has a special Patch Party station, stocked with a wide selection of trucker hats in all colors and thousands of patches from which you can choose, including alphabetic letters, sports themes, shapes and cartoon characters. Some studios offer knit beanies, denim jackets, tote bags and other items as well.

Let your imagination go wild as you combine patches and customized vinyl appliques to create your own unique masterpiece. You can even add beads and chains if you like. Then our staff of trained instructors will apply everything just the way you want it.

Make It and Take It the Same Day!

Unlike many of our other art experiences that require drying time before they can be taken home, Patch Party creations are ready immediately. You can take (and wear) them home the day of your party.
