???? Hey, Seiden... what do you do?

"What do you need? How can I help?" My two favorite questions.

As I've been working to activate my network to help me find that next great opportunity, so many of you have been asking these questions of me, which has been amazing—thank you! Also, I realize that I haven't made it easy for you. A number of people have told me they'd love to help connect me with opportunities, first they just need to know what do I want to do?

Which got me thinking: aside from saying, "I want this specific job title," how does anyone explain what they want to do? That happens to be a particularly acute issue for me, given the variety of roles I've held, but really, there's no good way for anyone to answer that question with the tools they currently have. I should say "tool," singular. All most people have is their résumé.

That's backwards. That's like putting the product spec sheet first in a sales & marketing rhythm, which you'd never do. Because that's basically what a résumé is—a spec sheet, with all your capabilities and keywords, devoid of context.

Where's the 1-pager to introduce the product (you, as an employee)? Where's the video to give someone a feel for what they're buying?

What a great way to showcase what you bring to the table that I’ve personally had the pleasure to see in working with you. In a world where so much more content is being generated in gen AI - treating yourself as the product with this “infographic” and video sets you apart and maybe provides a peek into the resume of the not to distant future - strategic transformation indeed!
