This is a letter from your younger self to you because I know you better than anyone else. I decided to write you a letter today to remind you that you are growing and that your younger self is now somehow impressed by the person you have become. Why did I use "somehow," you know? Because you still have a long way to go, you haven't achieved any benchmarks yet, but at least you have goals now.?
Yes, you still do stupid things, and you don't take life seriously, your mother still thinks of you as a useless brat ( but values you for your work now). Sorry, your brother is not on the list. You have to do something substantial to grab his attention.
But you are growing and have come a long way. You despised yourself for being a mediocre child who followed the same path and did the same things as everyone else because you had no idea what you liked or what you wanted to accomplish with your life. However, you shouldn't hold yourself responsible for this because everything you've experienced has helped mold you into the person you are now, yes, those leanings and those courses were not enough. Let me say that those were the basic stepping stones of life.
You had a love-hate relationship with God. You missed opportunities to be close to them. You were always told, "bhagwan sab sahi karenge " and you always asked, "Kab Sahi karenge? You always blamed your luck for everything. Whenever you achieved something that is not even worth noticing, you enjoyed it a lot because you have always craved that validation.
But now that you look back, you know all you did in your teenage life was take the stress and compare yourself to others; you didn't explore life the way you should have. It's not your fault; how could you? You only knew things that everyone told you to get good marks, get a good college, and get placement otherwise you are a failure. And somehow you started considering yourself a failure because, by all the stated criteria, you were average, and you settled for being average.?
You never said that you were good enough for anything. You did your hard work, but we're not getting results because you weren't working in the right direction. To put it bluntly, you were the one who had no direction and no goals. You never tried to enjoy your school and college syllabus, you just covered them for the sake of getting marks. "Bhagwan se to ladai galat thi yaar, how even God has to blame for you being directionless ?"
Chalo ab thodi si Tarif banti hai ….
2021 was a year when you got a new life. I consider it a breakthrough in your life. I saw a spark in this new Richa when you explored a different side of yourself. It may sound very shallow to anyone but your content writing journey has shaped and is continuing to shape you in many ways. It has opened up your mind to think beyond, you started being a little creative ( if you are allowed to say that ), you started enjoying reading, you started enjoying concepts, and you become a curious child who wants to know more and more. You started building confidence in yourself, you started valuing yourself, and you started knowing people from different fields. It is all down to your decision to switch a job and upgrade your skills. You took a step. You chose to start from scratch.
It is said a lot of things in your life depend on people's influence on you.? Being in this industry is like knowing some brilliant minds every day.? You were fortunate enough to know a great bunch of people from friends you got to make in your content writing course to projects you worked on.
You made some friends from the content writing course you took for just 15 days. They were so supportive, always up to help you, and always motivated you that you were doing great. One of them even gave you the first opportunity and trusted you initially when you were too immature in your writing. ( I don't know if south people are so positive and supportive because I got to know some very fantastic people from this writing group)

Your first major project or learning phase started with I - Create. You get to know things you never knew you find out a niche for you working here.? In 7- 8 months you explored a lot thanks to I- create, Ziyaa her continuous efforts and her feedback have helped you a lot to improve your writing.
Working here you upgraded yourself and got to know about phrases you would have never known like Metaverse and AR/VR.?
Well, Richa you picking up a technical niche is like poles apart. As far as one loves writing they can comprise a few things. Taking up this niche was majorly influenced by earning but now see you just love to know more about this industry. You do like AR filters a little more now.? I don't know if you will ever be interested in investing in NFTs but you like to write about them.?
Ok, NFTs se yaad aya are you missing something?
Oh yes, how can you forget talking about Indie's? Ok, what do you think about the Indies needing a separate article ……. . Oh let's not write anything that puts you in question again and you can't win in the argument with them that is quite clear. Jokes apart….
Keeping all the misunderstandings aside, (to give context there is no major misunderstanding as such just the problem of miscommunication which this very common in remote working) the project is great in terms of learning.? I don't think you ever found any project or a job whose approach is very simple yet effective in terms of everything. You can ask questions, they even appreciate your ideas. Working here has broadened your capabilities. You even get to know extensively about metaverse, and web.3. The icing on the cake is they talk in Hindi, such a relief. That's why you got such a thorough understanding of the topics you write about. Let's accept that it doesn't matter how much you brag in English, when it comes to Hindi you understand things much more clearly.
Ok let's not stretch it more I just wanna say?
You have evolved from living like a dark moon to having a spark like a shining sun. Don't be so hard on yourself, and don't think about the world as you have never thought of it. Just be grateful that you have found the path that has provided you with a sense of fulfillment and direction in life.
Love from your younger self!

1 年Realizing that you deserve to honor yourself and acknowledging everything that has already been done, and whatever conditioning you got is not final, is very powerful. You can't change what you're not aware of and building on that self-awareness and self-image is a very important step you've taken Richa

1 年Richa Dude, this post have my heart and love. ?? First of all kudos to you to write the entire letter from the bottom of your heart and putting it out here, it needs a lot of courage. It's important to be kind to oneself and to not get too caught up in self-criticism. It's also important to be open to new ways of thinking and to question one's own beliefs and assumptions. ??
