Hey, Insurance Industry...Help!
I bet lower rates on health insurance would increase compliance the number of people who will wear a mask.
This happened to me years ago, while traveling with a new hire in her territory. We got it her car and started off to the first appointment with the fasten seat belt chime dinging.
ME: Is that your seat belt chime?
HER: Yea, it will stop in a minute.
ME: Why aren't you wearing your seat belt?
HER: It wrinkles my clothes.
ME: Did you check the box on your auto insurance that says you wear a seat belt?
HER: Yes.
ME: I will not be complicit in insurance fraud, put your seat belt on or I will have to fire you.
There must be actuarial data on the increased risk of becoming ill if you are not wearing a mask during a pandemic. How about it Health Insurers? Adjust the premiums up for those who will not agree to wear a mask. We wear seat belts because of premiums and the fines for driving without wearing one.
