Hey Goal Getter!

Hey Goal Getter!

Can we be honest for a second? If I see one more "New Year, New Me" post, I might scream into my pillow.

You know the drill - December 31st rolls around, and suddenly we're all fitness gurus, financial wizards, and zen masters in training.?

Fast forward to February, and we are feeling like we failed at our resolutions, while watching Netflix eating last year's Halloween candy. (No judgment, mini Reese's have a long shelf life.)

But here's the thing:?You're not failing at your resolutions.?Your approach to resolutions might just need some tweaking.

?? Quick check-in:

  • Have you ever not met a goal? (I'm raising both hands…and a foot)
  • How did that make you feel? Let me guess - like you were somehow broken or lacking willpower?

Plot twist: That feeling????? It's a lie.

Here's what nobody tells you about goals and resolutions:

  1. We make massive commitments we've never tried before
  2. We focus on the end result without considering the journey and what we are actually willing to do to achieve the goal
  3. We choose goals based on "should" and "want", as if its a wish
  4. We forget to ask one crucial question: "Will this actually make me happy?"

So here's the approach I want to share to flip the script on resolution setting;?LEAN INTO HAPPINESS

??? GRAB YOUR HE WORKSHEET BELOW, or use your Notes app. Let's do something different. Right now. Yes, actually right now.

?LEANING INTO HAPPINESS WORKSHEET?

Answer these questions honestly:

  1. What actually made you happy in 2024??(connections, joyful moments small or large, personal achievements, small milestones, etc)
  2. What created negative stress??(think specific moments)
  3. What pushed you to grow and learn??(even if it was uncomfy)
  4. What didn't work for you in 2024?
  5. What do you want to work better for you in 2025?
  6. What do you need to address or resolve for this to work better??(The real talk starts here)
  7. What will create more happiness for you in 2025??Or more moments of joy?
  8. What would work against achieving happiness in 2025??(Looking at you, 3 AM doom scrolling)

Now lets make your “resolution v.2” plan:

  1. Pick a top priority from your happiness indicators ^^^
  2. Break it into baby steps, get clear about step 1 & 2, etc
  3. List what might go wrong (so you can anticipate and pivot)
  4. Create achievable weekly mini-goals that drive progress -?keep your eye on the happiness outcome

Concerned you might struggle to achieve this too? THAT’s OK! I am giving you permission (as if you needed it) to iterate on your plan, and evolve your goals.?

Does this feel different from your usual goal-setting? GOOD. That's the point.

Here's to doing 2025 differently,

Calle

P.S. If you're thinking "this actually makes sense" - that's the point. Real change doesn't require a new you. It requires an honest you.
