Everyone loves the 'freebies' now a days even more! Now we have new terminologies invented by the innovative marketers like "cashback" a new name for giving discounts which sounds rather cheap and old fashioned. One on One free is another term that is very common now, "buy one, get one free" or " buy three get one free" offers are always in great demand in supermarkets and malls alike. Top brands including burgers and pizzas have also started giving free fries with that shake or toppings of your choice in your pizza with the garlic bread free.
Customer loyalty and relationship management which you used to hear a lot earlier is no more hot words anymore. When was the last time you showed a little appreciation to a long-time client of yours? When did you last say thank you to the customer leaving your counter? This is how you keep customers, it’s not just the great product you sell or the great service you provide, it’s no more the relationship you had. More than the relationships now the trending things are 'gift vouchers', 'loyalty bonus coupons', 'discounted club membership' and 'free weekend trips to your choicest resorts'.
The Indian ladies shopping vegetables from the market are always tempted to have free bunch of curry leaves or chillies on the veggies bought by them, the vendor always pleases them with some bunch of coriander leaves and ginger to if their purchase is of good amount. Taking anything free or extra over and above the entitlement always pleases us. Those free fried noodles on Manchau (Indian made Chinese) Soup or free extra lump of butter or ghee over their dosa or pav bhaji has customers go crazy with bliss.
Some wine shops offer free glasses to customer on purchase or good quantity of wines or liquor bottles and some innovative guys also give them munching like free chips or nuts for buying from their wine shops. Coffee shops are generous in putting extra chocolate or cinnamon over the cup of coffee or extra cream on their Capuchin to please their customers.
Ladies are often offered some freebies like free blouse piece or hanky on purchase or dresses and some jewellery collection bought also gets some extra free earrings or hair bands etc. Clients of beauty salons can get free head massage or neck massage for the services bought by customers. The shoe shops often give pair of socks free or sports goods shops offer some shopping bags as free gifts to clients.
Freebies are always an attraction of the buyers and also of sellers to do more business and get the customers hooked on to their shops and parlours. Stay blessed and keep have freebies.
