Hey 2025 - Show me the money!

Hey 2025 - Show me the money!

What's your immediate gut reaction to reading that title? If you're like a lot of coaches, nutritional therapists or other service providers, "show me the money" may give you a big case of the ick. Or even lead you to judge me a bit - after all, we're here to help people right?

Charging for your services. Investing in yourself. Watching your outgoings. These things shouldn’t feel uncomfortable, but that doesn't mean they don't. Why? Because we’re in the business of helping people—and somewhere along the line, we’ve been conditioned to believe that charging for that help is somehow wrong.

But here’s the truth: you’re not just a helper, you’re a business owner. And prioritising money doesn’t mean you’re greedy—it means you’re smart.

Money isn’t the enemy, it’s the foundation of your success

In 2025, I’m focusing on making money work for me and I want to challenge you to do the same. Prioritising money isn’t just about charging more (though maybe it’s time for that too). It’s about approaching money with intention and strategy:

  1. Charge based on the transformation your services provide Your time, energy, and expertise are part of the equation, but what truly matters is the value of the transformation you deliver. Whether it’s helping a client achieve better health, clarity in their business, or a life-changing mindset shift, that transformation has incredible worth. And the Brucie Bonus? When your prices reflect the results you provide, selling becomes easier as you attract clients that are committed to getting those results.
  2. Invest in yourself The best business owners are curious about how they can improve and never stop learning. That means setting aside money to improve your skills, grow your expertise, and stay at the top of your game. Whether it’s a course, a coach, or a conference, these investments don’t just benefit you, they benefit your clients too.
  3. Spend wisely on your business Are your tools, systems, and processes working efficiently? Are you spending on the things that matter and cutting back on what doesn’t? Being intentional about your outgoings is just as important as what you’re bringing in.
  4. Make your money work for you This is where many business owners drop the ball. Are you managing your profits in a way that grows your business or improves your lifestyle? Saving, reinvesting, and planning for the future are essential if you want your business to thrive long-term.

You can help people and make money

I get it. The idea of prioritising money can feel like you’re selling out and marketing feels inauthentic. But let me ask you this: How are you going to help more people if you’re constantly running on empty—financially, emotionally, and physically because you're having to resort to constantly hustling to get cash in?

When you take control of your finances, you create stability, freedom, and opportunity. You can serve your clients better. You can spend more time doing what you love. You can live the life you’re working so hard to build.

So, judge me if you want. But in 2025, I’m unapologetically prioritising money. Because the more I take care of my business, the more my business can take care of me. And my clients.

What’s your money priority in 2025?

I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are you planning to charge more? Invest in new skills? Tackle your business outgoings? Let me know in the comments or send me a message.

It’s important that the years that you spent training and your experience are financially recognised. It’s about respect, gaining testimonials for your expertise, feeling/giving value…..and do make a contract!
