Hexitime Facebook launch and the experience of a Hexitime ambassador
We have been adding some changes to our social media and are proud to share that Hexitime is now on Facebook!
The new Hexitime Community Network will allow members to exchange skills and ideas for improvements in health and care. Members activities from the platform will also be shared on this page.
The Hexitime Timebank Community Group has been created as a space to allow Hexitime community members to discuss ideas, make suggestions, and get the most out of timebanking.
To encourage and build the community, there will be specific days when the administrative team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have or helping you with your activities on the platform and there may also be Facebook lives on relevant topics. Further information on these will be shared at a later date.
We look forward to welcoming you in our Facebook community!

The experience of a Hexitime Ambassador - with Dr Myra Malik
Dr Myra Malik is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Trust with an interest in obstetric anaesthesia. As a Hexitime ambassador, Myra is a strong advocate for Hexitime's mission to improve health and social care using timebanking.
Below is an excerpt from her blog post:
"I became a Hextime ambassador, to shape and share Hexitime with the wider health community to improve patient care and experience.I could see the enormous potential it represents for supporting individuals and organisations for change, improvement and innovation across the system, in particular those from underrepresented groups.
My first exchange on the platform came about as a result of an innovation research project I was working on. I needed help in understanding how to develop digital innovations in healthcare. I have learnt that if there is something you are wanting to do and don’t know how, find someone who has done it before you and ask them. Hexitime gave that opportunity."
Can you exchange one hour of your day to improve health and social care?
