You may have seen Hero Media making headlines recently for our major announcement?and milestone for diverse ownership in ad tech and media. We partnered with AdTheorent to create the first ML-powered Black-owned DSP in programmatic advertising, Hero One.?

With more dollars being invested in programmatic advertising and with data driven targeting becoming more of a priority, it's critical that we have diverse ownership in ad tech and the programmatic pipes that will determine where the money goes, ensuring that diverse owned media doesn't get overlooked in the process.?

Enter Hero One: a programmatic advertising platform optimized to reach diverse audiences across the entire digital ecosystem, in partnership with AdTheorent.? We’re the first machine-learning powered black-owned DSP in programmatic advertising, and as characterized by Adweek, we are “aiming to make it easier for brands to reach diverse audiences in a thoughtful way, and early data shows promising results."

It was great to have our story told and connect with Catherine Perloff at ADWEEK alongside AdTheorent CEO Jim Lawson . We had the opportunity to speak on why the announcement marked a historic moment for programmatic advertising, advertising technology, and media. I discussed what made the Hero One offering so unique and unlike anything out there currently on the market.

What it boils down to is that you can’t have great cultural insights without people that are from the culture. There is little to no diverse ownership in AdTech and with more investment going?to programmatic advertising, it's imperative that we have greater equity in the platforms that will dictate where and how money is allocated to Black and diverse owned media brands—and that's why we launched Hero One.
