?? Hero Hunt AI: The LinkedIn Killer? ??

Eldon Davis Director of Focused Futures trial of the solution

I recently took Uwi (AI Recruiter by HeroHunt.ai) AI for a couple of test drives, and as someone who cut their teeth on traditional recruitment methods (yes, LinkedIn searches and trusty black books), I have to admit — I was impressed. ??

This nifty tool lets you scrape millions of profiles across the web. Simply plug in your job spec, answer a few filtering questions (think location, sector, tech stack depth), hit send — and off it goes! Within moments, it delivers 100 profiles, neatly ranked on a score system from 1-10. The cherry on top? It helps you launch automated email campaigns — a gentle nudge (or three) to potential candidates to book that all-important first stage.

So... the million-dollar question: does it work? And is it really a LinkedIn killer? ??

The Results ??

I ran it for some Sales and .NET roles, and I have to say, the quality of candidates outperformed the quality of the candidates gained against those generated through LinkedIn and Indeed advertising particularly for the Sales roles. The profiles Hero Hunt unearthed were more relevant — the kind of candidates I wanted to see.

But here’s the kicker: while Hero Hunt scored me some solid options, the top 10% of candidates that came through the campaigns were still people I already knew. Old contacts. Or the ones I’d painstakingly found myself via LinkedIn Recruiter searches. ??

So no, it’s not a replacement for having a recruiter license on LinkedIn or human expertise... yet.

Is It Worth the Price Tag? ??

For $199 month, it’s a solid deal.

Hero Hunt AI offers a basic package:

  • Your personal AI recruitment assistant for 3 positions per month.
  • Best for: individual recruiters handling 1–3 roles per month on average.
  • 1 single user access.

There are also enterprise options available for larger teams or those with more extensive hiring needs.

It’s like having a Junior Resourcer working quietly in the background. I used it at one stage on the go whilst heading to Heathrow for a business conference where Focused Futures Consultancy LTD were demonstrating . The speed and efficiency were a game-changer. If it generates just one placement it more than covers its total cost.

The AI-generated emails? A little clunky compared to a human touch, but they get the job done. For junior IT roles or admin positions, this tool would definitely pack a punch. ??

Pros of Hero Hunt AI ??

  1. Efficiency — Speeding up those repetitive tasks.
  2. Bias Reduction — Focuses on skills, not names or backgrounds.
  3. Scalability — Perfect for bulk hiring and straightforward roles.
  4. Candidate Experience — Streamlined communication and responses.

Cons of Hero Hunt AI ??

  1. Loss of the Human Touch — AI doesn’t do relationships.
  2. The Auto Generated Emails - Are patchy it does its best to lift terms from their profile to personalise these messages.
  3. Screening Limitations — Unconventional candidates may get missed. Noticed it ranked some candidates from leading Microsoft Advanced Partners poorly, this is based on the quality of information they had placed on LinkedIn or other public share information sites about their roles and responsibilities.
  4. Algorithmic Bias — Poor training can perpetuate bias (monitoring is key).

My Takeaway: AI Won’t Replace You... Yet ??

Hero Hunt AI won’t put recruiters out of business (sorry, doomsday prophets ??), but those who embrace tools like this will gain a serious edge over those who don’t. It’s all about enhancing what you do, not replacing it. It will be interesting to see the improvements over the next year and hopefully we'll see the level of significant improvements such as in the AI synthetic media sector.

For now, I’ll keep Hero Hunt in my toolkit for specific roles and tasks. I am experimenting once more with new tech — and my trusty BOOX E-Ink Writer (future blog post incoming, Is something I am obsessed with ??).

Oh, and to Christopher Bishop I still haven’t forgiven you for the Xbox Accessories HD DVD player debacle. When he revealed to me during my younger age as avid technology early adopter that I had purchased a Betamax 2.0? ??

Do your homework and research first before you make a significant investment!

Would I recommend giving Hero Hunt AI a shot? Absolutely. It’s a solid productivity hack — just make sure you’re still doing the human work that makes a recruiter great. ??
