Be A Hero. Give Blood.

Be A Hero. Give Blood.

I am proud to say that there are many heroes in the Northside Family. Would you like to be one as well? It’s simple. Just roll up your sleeve and give blood.

Did you know that your single blood donation could be used to save three lives? Did you know that the American Red Cross estimates that every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood?

This is where the Northside Family is stepping up, just as they always do when there is a need in our community. We’ve been hosting blood drives over the past month-and-a-half and we’re not done yet, by any stretch.

We’ll be at Northside Hospital Forsyth starting at 10am on Aug. 6 and 7am on Aug. 7.

As long as you are healthy, weigh at least 110 pounds and are 17 years or older, you can give blood every 56 days. It’s simple and it’s fast and it’s one of those investments that yields a huge return.

I always feel so good after I give and I know you will, too. I also know that you might have questions about giving or that maybe you’d like to make an appointment.

We have Northsiders standing by to help. In Atlanta or Alpharetta, call Mandy Snavely at 770-667-4010. In Canton, check with Tracy Posey at 770-720-5117. In Cumming, you can call Glenda Cronan at 770-844-3400. There is also more information about our ongoing blood drives online at northside.com/blooddrives.

The Red Cross says that if every eligible donor gave blood twice a year, it would put an end to these seasonal blood shortages. In the meantime, you can count on Northside to do its part to help.

Now, we’re counting on YOU! Join us, give blood and be a hero today. Make sure to keep up with all the events and news from Northside by following us on LinkedIn here!
