Here's why this health game often fails for you:

It's simple - you're trying you're playing a game that you're not an expert in.
It's even worse at times; playing someone else's game.
"I'm trying this diet that Joe Bloggs loved" or "I've signed up to this new program my colleague is loving".
Personally I think both of those statements really say - I've started something that isn't built for me, my schedule or my goals.
When you commit to a pre built program, diet or plan that is either generic, or built for someone else it's like following a business plan created for one of your connections on LinkedIn.
Sure, it might be the best business plan ever written for a SaaS company, but if you're running a business selling building materials to commercial developers it's unlikely to hit where it should.
Take January for example; over 80% of New Years Resolutions that are made (in relation to health) fail by February.
There are two leading causes of this extremely high failure rate:
1) Attempting a plan/program/diet that isn't appropriate for you, your goals or your schedule.
2) No recognition that your common slip ups, hardships or weaknesses around this topic are likely to be 90% mindset related.
To combat that, I use some very simple but extraordinarily effective principles in my method of working:
1) I come to you - meaning every step of our work together is built form the ground and up, for you exclusively.
2) I work relentlessly to track traits, trends and mental habits that you show up with that consistently hold you back. Once we have found them we can work tirelessly on overcoming these repeatable traits.
3) Longevity. Most peers in my industry will work to get you in shape and feeling good over a matter of weeks and then you leave (most return). I am not one single bit interested in what we achieve over the next six weeks.
That might sound crazy - but what I'm interested in is teaching you principles and foundations of health that you'll be married to over the next ten years.
Do you think someone in ten years time would be remotely interested if you showed them a transformation you did a decade ago over a six week period?
Absolutely not.
Do you think someone in ten years would be impressed by a decade of robust health, looking great and feeling better?
Absolutely yes.
I'm blessed to have been exposed to some world class coaching throughout my life.

To this day I can hear certain coaches voices and their early lessons in my head and I'm talking about conversations I had with them over a decade ago.
That's how I strive to coach - to create long lasting results and impact.
Heath shouldn't have a "seasonal" approach to it.
It should have an infinite approach attributed to it.
Treat it like you'd treat a marriage (well - how I'd like to hope you'd treat one).
With all of that said, I realise it can be daunting to get started, raise your hand and ask a question or two.
But I'd like you to know that should that time every arise I'm only one message away - I don't bite.
I'm always thrilled to help anyone who's in need of it.
I'll be 100% transparent with you too; I don't work with anyone and everyone because it isn't effective for me or at times, them.
So if you did pose a question or two and I didn't feel like I was well placed to help you then I can definitely steer you in the direction of someone who would be.
It matters to me that you'd get the best help possible.
Sometimes that would be with me and sometimes with another expert in a slightly different field.
So, feel free to raise your hand and shoot me a message with a question you have.
Or you can find a convenient time for us to catch up over a short exploration call.
(it's not a sales call or an opportunity for me to tell you how great I am, it's just an opportunity to explore what you need and if there are next steps I can suggest then I will).

Take care.

1 个月Think of it like this... If you had a heart condition would you ask to follow the care plan for the last patient that doctor saw? Or would you want your own plan, tailored for where you are and where you're heading. I hope that makes sense.
