Amit Shah will be the next PM of India, Of Course After Narendra Modi Retires post two consecutive terms.

Amit Shah is definitely a financial genius as well . Lets look at a case in point .

Ahmedabad District Co-operative Bank Ltd.Lets rewind back to the year 2000.The bank was declared a weak bank and was in bad shape. At that point of time Amit Shah took over as Chairman of the bank. At that time the Bank had a registered loss of Rs 20.28 crores. A year after he took over , the bank cleared its debts registering profits and also declaring a 10 % dividend.He turned it around within a year, and the bank registered profits of Rs 27 crore. Its bottom line is in the Rs 250 crore region now.

Strategy and Execution :

Earlier to this task was to challenge the Congress hold over rural Gujarat. They worked on a simple calculation—that for every elected village pradhan, there was an equally powerful and resourceful leader who failed to make the grade. The defeated headman was not ready to play second fiddle, nor ready to wait five years. Shah and a few of his handpicked assistants approached defeated pradhans and “set them up” as “a rival pull of attraction”. In no time, there was a network of 8,000 pradhan challengers working for the BJP.

The next task was to demolish the Congress hold over sports bodies, especially in cricket and chess. Shah was in charge of an operation that resembled aggressive raids in the corporate world, and, after sustained effort, the BJP managed to dislodge the Congress from all sports bodies. This denied the rival party an important source of patronage.

The takeover would not be complete so long as Gujarat’s powerful cooperatives, whose role in the state’s economy was paramount, remained in Congress hands. The same strategy was employed here as well.

He was the youngest Chairman of the Gujarat State Finance Corporation.Across this and other positions he has held, the institutions have been better managed on ground business results and performance as well. He is credited with structural reforms in the cooperative bank sector in Gujarat as well ensuring that all of them are efficiently operating.

We can also notice his electoral track record of not having lost a single election since his joining the BJP as well.

When PM Modi gets a Second Term : Amit Shah would have completed his two terms as President of the BJP Party . ( As per the BJP Charter , A member can be president only for 2 terms) . He might get a maximum extension of a couple of years because his first term was of 3 years taking over as he did from Rajnath Singh when he became Home Minister .

Its definite that Amit Shah in the second term of BJP will take over as Finance Minister or Home Minister. In my analysis , considering Arun Jaitleys health, it will be as Finance Minister.

This will be akin to a corporate succession plan to groom him like Jack Welch groomed Jeffrey Immelt at GE a decade or so ago.
