How to Analyze PDFs with Claude AI (Beta)

Claude Sonnet 3.5’s new Visual PDFs feature (beta) allows paid users to view and analyze PDFs, including text, images, charts, and graphs. Files must be under 32 MB, less than 100 pages, and not password-protected.

How to Use:

  1. Log into Claude and enable "Visual PDF Analysis" under Feature Preview (click your initials in the lower left).
  2. Start a new chat, click the paperclip icon, upload your PDF, and submit your question.

Tips:

  • Use viewer page numbers for references.
  • Split large documents to stay within limits.
