Not all brands are a good fit for major animation. Are you nodding your head? If yes, keep reading.
Motion graphics, UGC, production, content, etc., are our favourite projects to execute, but there's something to say about staying creative with a more limited animation personality.
Clothing brands don't typically benefit from high-motion graphic concepts. Why? Because the driving factor with anything you wear is "Do I like the way it looks?" Sometimes too much motion can get in the way of clearly showcasing the products. But no motion, text, or added value can also leave you with insufficient incentive to click through. It's usually a balance of both.
This is an excellent example of how to manage that balance. The swim takes centre stage, and then we build in more value in the middle to inform the viewer that this isn't just a "regular" suit. Initially, we A/B tested this against just that opening frame to see if less or more was better. Both worked, but every account differs, so I suggest you try something similar.
Even if your brand loves a lot of motion, this is easy to execute quickly.
