I was a?real estate investor?trying to?establish myself as a trusted expert instead of a slimy salesperson. I really wanted to?attract and acquire more clients?so I wouldn't have to?seem needy and desperate to clients.
I wanted to be able to?consistently support my family financially, and emotionally?and I could?have more time to spend with my children and family.
The thing is?I was?not making money consistently in my business. That meant I wasn’t able to?consistently support my family financially, or emotionally, let alone?have more time to spend with my children and family.
To make things worse,?I felt terrible because?I was spending so much time working on my business that it was taking attention away from my children and family. I felt even worse about the situation because?I was supposed to be providing my children with the opposite of what I had experienced as a child. This means, that my children were always supposed to have my time, attention, and presence. I felt like?a failure as a father. (I'm not perfect. Nor do I pretend to be. And my feelings and thoughts get the best of me sometimes so I still feel this way at times.).
The problem was that?the online and real estate spaces were competitive and crowded. Despite the fact that many "gurus" said how easy it was. It was difficult for me. As an introvert, I was exhausting myself. This meant?after coming up with what I thought was an easy process, people still saw it as difficult and didn't value it, which?was extremely frustrating to me.
Then...
That's when I?started analyzing people that were successful and people that were not. I realized that the people that were willing to move forward fast and weren't worried about perfection were the ones that had to the most success. I learned that it's better to be first in mind than it is to be better. This is a simple law of marketing. It was now crystal clear to me how to?make significant progress without overthinking, without analysis paralysis, and without perfectionism because I saw?that I could make progress fast and get results almost immediately. It also meant that I could deliver my message to attract those that appreciate authenticity and repel those that didn't.
I also learned that?people appreciate honesty, transparency, and authenticity, you need to?focus on results, implementation, progress, and speed?instead.
As a result, I?started creating and publishing my content regardless of it being "pretty" and "edited" it.
After I did that, I started?attracting people that appreciated me for NOT being perfect.
Suddenly, I was?attracting clients and people that WANTED to work directly with me BECAUSE I WASN'T "perfect".
That’s when I realized that the secret to?establishing myself as a trusted expert instead of a slimy salesperson?was?fast action and fast implementation. NOT perfection..
My plan was to start?repeating the process by creating more content.
So I started?showing people close to me how to do the same things. But we didn’t stop there.
We then?sat down and recorded a bunch of videos so people could learn all about it from me.
After that, we?had those videos transcribed and put into a book.
But there was still a problem...
People still were struggling with actually implementing the things I was showing them. They were looking for accountability, collaboration, and support. They weren't interested in sitting down and going through a bunch of information. Most people wanted immediate results and quick wins.
We ended up getting so frustrated that we decided to?create a new process, that incorporated accountability, teamwork, collaboration, human connection, and most importantly... fast action and fast implementation.
We chose to call it?“Fast! Marketing Implementation”.
We thought if we could create something that would make it possible to?help people implement and achieve results faster, we’d be really happy.
