Here's the top New Year's resolutions according to Forbes

Improved Fitness (48%)

This one probably doesn't come as a shock, but nearly half of those polled have decided to exercise more this year. Look, we can't force you to hit the gym, but we can root for you from the sidelines. We might be able to help you find a little extra free time too, but it's up to you to decide how to use it. We're not judging.

Equally as unsurprising, about a third of folks said 2024 was the year they would start a diet or lose weight.

Improved Finances (38%)

Thirty-eight percent of people polled said that they were striving to improve their finances this year. Whether you're paying down student loan debt, investing for retirement, or simply needing a larger paycheck, a new permanent or temporary job could be part of this strategy.

Improved Mental Health (36%)

A third of respondents polled have decided to prioritize mental health this year. On a related note, resolution-makers are also seeking better work-life balance (7%), finding more time for hobbies (7%) and making more time for loved ones (25%). This is one of the things we're passionate about -- preventing burnout and helping providers find work that supports the kind of life they want to live.

Travel More (6%)

For some of us, 2024 will be the year of new places and new experiences. Wouldn't it be cool if you could improve your finances, mental health AND travel more? We think so, too. We might know some folks who can help you with that.

What does the data say about physicians?

It's not surprising to us that Financial and Mental Well-being are top of mind. It's been on our minds, too. A survey report by LocumTenens.com finds that top dissatisfiers for physicians include compensation, workload, hours worked, burnout and work-life balance.

Here's the deal

Make all of the resolutions you want, but make sure you're taking actionable steps to make things happen. If you're a provider and you think a new permanent or temporary job can help you accomplish any of your resolutions this year, let's talk. But no matter what you've resolved, know that we're cheering you on!
