?? Hey busy-minded people:
Are you pulled in a million directions?
In meetings thinking about other meetings?
Distracted when you want to listen?
Realizing you heard nothing at all?
Boy, do I get it. (Guilty!)
It's hard with all the
pings and dings and other things
fires, meetings, zoom fatigue
interruptus continuous
complex mental Tetris
You're a human in a frenetic world.
Be gentle with yourself. ??
?? The forces are strong.
And...try this out:
A simple hack I learned from Sandy Fershee—
beautiful in its simplicity,
important for its accessibility—
?? Just ask yourself, "Am I here right now?".
The question will do the work for you.
All you have to do is remember to ask it from time to time.

Once a day is fine. Once a week, even.
Because the more you ask it, the more you'll remember to ask it.
It's a self-perpetuating loop.
And over time...
a bit more presence.
And then a bit more.
And then more.
Bonus:
the rest of us get a little more of the amazing you ??
with us, here, now.
I'm a fan of tools that are dead simple with an extremely low barrier to entry—and this one wins the prize!
Try it out and let me know if you find it as delightfully helpful as I do.
And thanks for the presence wisdom nugget Sandy!
