Continuing on… Threads on Twitter and Instagram Threads
Instagram introduced a feature called "Threads" in October 2019, which was a standalone messaging app designed specifically for close friends on Instagram, this messaging and video chat app back then resembled SnapChat functionalities.
For Starters and for ones who haven’t explored Instagram Threads as yet -
Instagram Threads is a private messaging app that allows users to communicate with a select group of close friends. It focuses on sharing photos, videos, messages, and status updates with a smaller circle of contacts. Threads enable users to create a dedicated space for interacting with their close friends and provide various tools for sharing content and staying connected.
As for Twitter, threads have been a popular feature on the platform for quite some time. Threads on Twitter allow users to link a series of tweets together, creating a connected narrative or conversation. Users can reply to their own tweets to continue a thread and make it easier for others to follow the sequence of tweets. More on this has been explained & provided in Part 1 of the What's the Fuss About Twitter, Threads on Twitter, and Threads on Instagram?
Instagram Threads and Twitter-Twitter Threads (a feature on Twitter) are both social media platforms that allow users to share longer stories or thoughts than is possible in a single post. However, there are some key differences between the two platforms that have led to some excitement about Threads.

Now, Twitter on the other hand -
And
The fuss about Threads on Instagram…
There are a few reasons why there is so much excitement or hullabaloo about Threads. First, Threads offer a way for users to share more detailed information than is possible on Twitter. This is a major advantage for businesses and organizations that want to provide more information about their products or services from their existing business pages and an entirely new market / platform to build, grow and conquer.
Second, Threads are presented in chronological order, which makes them easy to follow. This is in contrast to Twitter, where tweets are displayed in reverse chronological order, which can make it difficult to follow a long conversation.
Third, Threads are primarily intended for users' close friends and followers. This means that they can be used to share more personal and intimate thoughts and stories. Twitter, on the other hand, is a more public forum, which can make some users feel uncomfortable sharing certain types of content.
Overall, Threads appears to offer a number of advantages over Twitter, which is why there is so much excitement about the new platform. It remains to be seen whether Threads will be able to challenge Twitter's dominance in the social media space, but it is certainly a platform to watch considering its audience (continue below)...

Yes, you need to have an Instagram account to use Threads. To create a profile on Threads, you must log in with your Instagram account. If you don't have an existing Instagram account, you'll need to create one before you can use Threads. Each Threads profile is linked to an Instagram account.
As mentioned above, Threads on Instagram / Instagram Threads is designed primarily for close friends and a more intimate circle of people within your existing Instagram network. It caters to individuals who want to share personal updates, moments, and conversations with a select group of people in a private and focused manner. Threads are particularly appealing to those who value maintaining deeper connections with a smaller and more trusted group of friends, as opposed to sharing content with a broader public audience.
However and in addition, to my opinion and the last update I could find, Instagram Threads is geared towards a younger demographic, particularly the millennials and more so particularly to the Generation Z age groups. These age groups have been more active on social media platforms and are often more familiar with Instagram's features.
Whereas, Twitter or Twitter Thread users are relatively broad, encompassing a wide range of age groups, professions, and interests.
Twitter has a more significant user base among millennials than the "Generation Zs". These age groups often find the platform appealing for its real-time updates, news, and trending topics.
Mostly popular among business professionals, journalists, academics, and thought leaders. It's used for networking, sharing insights, and staying informed about industry trends.
Also, among the News and Current Affairs Enthusiasts - Due to its fast-paced nature and real-time updates, Twitter attracts users who are interested in staying updated with breaking news, current events, and trending topics.
Of Course, & not to forget the...
Celebrities and Influencers - Many celebrities, public figures, and influencers use Twitter to connect with their fan base, share thoughts, and engage in conversations.
Tech-Savvy Users - Twitter's format of short, concise messages appeals to users who appreciate quick and direct communication.
and
Political and Activism Engagement - Twitter is often used for political discussions, activism, and social commentary, making it popular among individuals interested in social and political issues.
Do note that these demographics are certainly not exclusive, and Twitter's user base is diverse and continues to evolve.
The wait, however, will be to see if the demographics can change over time for Instagram Threads, and / or if the user base starts to expand and grow into each other because of the fuss!
