Here’s one way to remain young:
My dear friends,
Along with the five senses sight, smell, hearing, taste and touch, some of the other senses I could think of are sense of space, civic sense, common sense and sense of time. Needless to say, sense of time plays a very important role in business. Even our organisation’s main goal is to do fastest deliveries. Keeping business aside for a moment, I’d like to ask you, did you ever feel the time is running fast or maybe the day is going slow? Do you know why we feel that way? I was reading some neuroscientific and behavioral science articles which gave me quite a few reasons for this. One of the times we feel the time moves slower is when we do something completely new. When we do new things, it demands our attention and when we focus on what we do, we in fact slow down time. So adding some new, awe-inspiring and extraordinary activities to our lives, we will slow our time down. Of course that is only a perception of time. But what is reality? Is your reality the same as mine? It’s all in the perception. So when we perceive time moving slowly, we don’t age faster. Because we have a lot of time. If you notice, as people age, time moves quicker for them because they have nothing new to learn. And no matter how old we are, we feel old when we stop learning. When we dig into facts, there are many studies that suggest invigorating mental activities, like learning, indeed not only slows down time but also slows down the rate at which our brain ages. Then we have no option but to stay young. I would like to quote Henry Ford here, “Anyone who keeps learning stays young”.
Five ways we can implement this at work place and remain young:
- Meet new people, talk to your customers/ clients/ consumers and really give your complete attention to what they are saying.
2. Learn new technologies and keep yourself updated.
3. Once in a while, take a walk in nature with your team. Go for a hike or a trek / check out some national parks or waterfalls.
4. Take power naps. It seems even short amounts of sleep transfers new memories to our brain's neocortex to be permanently stored, improving our ability to recall them.
5. Take breaks - this will reduce stress, drink enough water and drink wine at happy hours.
Learn new things, stay young!

When I first saw this I heard elephants' minds, how they think "coochy coochy coo" when they look at us humans. I wish it were a fact and elephants played with us!
