Here's my truth at 74 - call it my Personal Renaissance:

These decades haven't just filled my days - they've filled my toolkit.

Every challenge, every triumph, every loss has sharpened my ability to spot what matters.

Now, I'm standing where wisdom meets possibility and choosing to continue to grow again with curiosity, generosity, and gratitude.

This isn't some wistful attempt to reclaim my youth.

I recognize that 74 years of navigating life's complexities have uniquely equipped me for what's next.

I've earned this clarity, courage, and renaissance.

My age isn't a barrier to evolution - it's my advantage.

I know who I am. I know what I can risk.

Most importantly, I know what I can't afford to waste time regretting.

When you've lived 74 years, you understand that every season brings its opportunities, and this one is mine.

Those raised eyebrows when I talk about starting something new?

They come from people who have yet to learn that a calendar doesn't bind life's richness.

My renaissance isn't happening despite my age - it's happening because of it.

Now, I have the wisdom to choose my path with intention, the confidence to move at my own pace, and the perspective to appreciate this unfolding.

After all, some of the most profound transformations happen when you have enough life behind you to understand the actual value of what lies ahead.

At 74, I'm not just surviving—I'm authoring my next chapter—

not with the desperate energy of youth but with the earned assurance of someone who knows precisely why they're choosing to grow again.

This is my renaissance. Hard-earned. Clear-eyed. Real.

Want to dig deeper into how I'm shaping this next chapter? Or explore what specific wisdom is lighting the way? I will be sharing a weekly reflection on my journey here.

I am with you at 77 years old. We are still vibrant, growing, and purposeful. We are not distracted raising children, supporting self and others, updating our skills, etc. We are now in our most focussed impacting stage of our lives

Wow, this is written so eloquently!! Your mindset, message and insightful perspective need to be seen by the younger generation. A generation that lives in a world of advanced technology but has lost the humanistic decency of the simplicity of life's journey. Thinking outside the box by creating our own check list on life when we have 'reached' but there's still more living to be done. Congratulations Marc.
