Is Your Career In Good Shape? Here's How To Find Out...

People often wonder what I do for a living. Besides sharing career and workplace advice here on LinkedIn, I'm also the founder of Work It Daily, a site that provides trusted, easy-to-use career support. But, I wasn't always in this line of work...
How did I get into this business?
Years ago, I had a high-powered corporate gig in HR and recruiting. I was a lot like George Clooney's character in the movie, "Up In The Air." - and it was sucking the life out of me. So, I decided to leave that world behind and start a career coaching service. Little did I know it would change my life forever.
School teaches us everything EXCEPT how to get out of a career rut.
As a career coach, I quickly learned everyone experiences career ruts in their lives. However, school doesn't teach us how to fix them. Millions of smart, talented people (like YOU), want to improve their careers, but they just don't know where to start. My work for the last 16+ years has been focused on creating a way for these folks to find career success and satisfaction on their own terms. Why should high-powered executives and pro athletes be the only people who can afford coaches to help them perform better? I believe everyone deserves access to good career support.
Which leads to this...
My team and I have created something called the, "Healthy Career Checklist." It's a free resource you can use to figure out where they should be focusing your efforts to improve your career.
It's designed to:
A) Get you thinking about the aspects of your career you need to manage to avoid career ruts.
B) Motivate you to spend some time thinking about how you could be more strategic in managing your career.
C) Help you determine if something is missing in your career that could put you at risk of falling into a career rut.
Thousands of people have already downloaded it and are feeling more clarity around what their next career improvement step should be. Why not join them?
I invite you to click here and download it for free and so you can start building a healthier career.
Sincerely,
JT

7 年Shared with my connections, as an interesting article as my connections are a mix of business owners and those employed or looking for work. I believe a valuable tool regardless of where they are in their career. Because I think some have forgotten how they got their current job and are not looking forward.

7 年Seems pretty simplistic. Maybe the courses are better

7 年Looks like an advertisement of your courses and not a useful checklist that helps me decide next course of action for myself.
