Here’s the latest from the UN

As conflicts rage and geopolitical divisions grow, UN Secretary-General António Guterres?laid out his key priorities for 2024 to the United Nations General Assembly this week, emphasizing the urgent need to create the conditions for peace around the world.?

The following is an excerpt of his remarks.

Our organization was founded on the pursuit of peace.

Peace is our raison d’être.

Yet as I scan the landscape of today’s world, the one thing missing most dramatically is peace.

People want peace and security.

People want peace and dignity.

And, frankly, they want peace and quiet.

For millions of people caught up in conflict around the world, life is a deadly, daily, hungry hell.?

Record numbers are fleeing their homes in search of safety.?

They are crying out for peace.

We must hear them, and act.

Peace is more than a noble vision.?

Peace is a rallying cry. It is a call to action.

Our obligation is to act together for peace in all its dimensions.

Peace can achieve wonders that wars never will. Wars destroy. Peace builds.

But in today’s troubled world, building peace is a conscious, bold and even radical act.? It is humanity’s greatest responsibility. And that responsibility belongs to us all – individually and collectively.

In this difficult and divided moment, let’s meet that obligation for today and future generations.?

Starting here.? Starting now.

For my part, I can guarantee that I will never give up fighting for peace.

António Guterres Thanks for holding a memorial for Ebrahim Raisi, the Dictator who was known as notorious butcher of Iran. It's disgusting and appalling that you celebrate life of a killer, under sanction and designated as a human rights violator. His homies in Yemes and Hamas couldn't have done it better. Shame on you and your organization.

Potsdam Proclamation’s Allied Power, the Republic of China, Still Stands Fast and Robust The PRC or CCP Regime is dubious regarding its status as the so-called “sole legal Government of China”. In reality, the relationship of the CCP’s PRC and the Chinese people is that of kidnappers and hostages rather than the Government and its people. The United Nations shall have no reason to block and continue to block the representatives of the Republic of China from accessing the UN and taking her Charter-provided seat in it. The UN should lift the ban on the representatives of the Republic of China as no UNGA had ever placed a ban on them. The United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 shall be withdrawn and a new resolution shall only be adopted after the issue is settled peacefully.

The phrase “Chinese Civil War” is an incorrect terminology for the warring conflict between the Chinese National Government (with Kuo Ming Tang or “KMT” as the ruling party) and Mao Tze-Dong’s armed rebel force Chinese Communist Party (with People’s Liberation Army or “PLA” as the armament branch). This conflict began long before the year 1949, survived the events of the Battle of Guningtou, Kinmen of 1950, and the Taiwan Strait Crisis of 1958, and continued up until now. It is in fact a war performed by the Chinese National Government to fend off the invasion by the archenemy Soviet Union – Red Russia. CCP’s leaders such as Mao Tze-Dong, Zhou En-Lai, Liu Shao-Qi, and Lin Biao were all deputies under the direction of Red Russia’s supreme leader Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin (See Chiang-kai Shek’s “Soviet Union – Red Russia in China”).
