I see a lot of lead magnets and ads offering thousands of prompts for ChatGPT and other LLMs.
For the most part, they are a complete waste of time.
Instead of relying on lists of prompts (or inputting Google like search queries), learning how to use ChatGPT effectively will provide you with incredible productivity.
The best way to use ChatGPT is to think of it as a non-judgmental, hyper-intelligent, fast-working newly hired personal assistant whose one mission in life is to serve you as best it can.
But this new, enthusiastic assistant knows nothing about your business or what you want so, each time you give it a task, you need to provide step-by-step, contextualized instructions.
Here’s how to get the most out of ChatGPT:
Think of it this way: ChatGPT is more than just a tool.
It's a conversational partner that can transform your work.
You should 'chat' with ChatGPT, having a series of short interactions to get to the conclusion you want, much like you would when chatting with a human. Hey! That's why it's called CHAT GPT.
Follow these 8 steps to get the most out of ChatGPT:
1.?Think of ChatGPT as a Conversational Partner
o Approach it like you would a human assistant.
o Provide sequential, step-by-step requests.
2.?Be Specific and Detailed
o The more specific you are, the better responses you get.
o Iterate your requests just as you would when 'chatting' to someone.
3. Break Down Complex Tasks
o?For complex inquiries, break them into smaller parts.
o?This will get you more precise and actionable responses.
4.?Use Iterative Refinement
o Refine your question if the initial response isn't quite right.
o Provide additional context to improve accuracy.
5.?Incorporate Context
领英推荐
o Providing background information leads to more relevant answers.
o For example, "I am raising capital for a multifamily deal and need tips on email campaigns."
6. Experiment and Explore
o Don't be afraid to try different ways of asking questions.
o Tell ChatGPT if it got something wrong and to try again.
7.?Ask for Examples
o If you need practical applications, ask for examples.
o If you are not sure how to phrase your request, ask ChatGPT to help you phrase it just right!
By thinking of ChatGPT as a collaborator rather than as a tool, and by internalizing the idea of 'chatting' as though you were chatting with a human, you’ll start to unlock the incredible power of this tool.

In August we are going to be holding a live training on how to leverage ChatGPT (and other LLMs) covering a series of practical tasks:
* Learn how to analyze offering documents,
* write a deal launch email sequence,
* create a LinkedIn post.
Space will be limited.
Please comment below if you'd like me to put you on the waitlist to join us.
(Not only will it be incredibly valuable, but it'll be a LOT of fun too!)
