I noticed that university and your business aren’t too different at all.

I am an expert. I have proof!

Look, I’m finally done with my first year of uni, around a month and a half as of writing this article. And I’ve seen loads of similarities with how people act in university and how they behave in a business.

Here’s what I have for you, and it doesn’t matter if you’re a student, a business owner or a regular human. This will help you find success in whatever you do. Trust me.

“Why should I trust you?”, you may ask… The answer to that is, I’ve had a lot of experience being on both ends of the sword, not studying and regretting and also studying wisely and acing exams.

So I know what I’m talking about. Plus you’ve already seen the images above.

There’s a chance you might know this, but aren’t applying it in your daily schedule. Take this as a reminder and get your a$$ back to work.

And for y’all?goldfish?out there who don’t know this… Understand this ASAP. You don’t wanna get left behind yea? (btw don’t take the goldfish joke personal, it’s sarcasm)

The Extreem 5

Wondering why this list is called ‘The Extreem 5’? The only reason I can think of is that it’s unique. That’s it lmao.

#1 —?Hard work beats smart work?

We’ve all heard it before ain’t it? But y’know what beats the hard working guys too?

It’s the hard workers who are smart. You have the brain and the muscles. You understand that there is no substitute to hard work and that it must be done no matter what. Your 10 hour days will have to stay. Smart work is about how to get more done in that 10 hours.

Start incorporating AI into your business, you’ll be making cash faster than ever before. There’s always some tool that will help you in some way. Google it. If I start talking about AI here, then this article won’t end.

#2 —?If you aren’t consistent, you lose -

The idea behind this one is simple and very straightforward. Show up, learn and do the work.

Show up to class, to the gym, to your workspace. Greet it and get to completing your tasks. Nobody is going to tell you to do it, I guess in uni you get told when you fail, but you get the point.

Mistake that people make often is that they keep uploading the same dumb sh_t thinking they are being consistent. Listen up, if you ain’t improving, then there’s no point doing all this in the first place. Learn about what you’re doing and incorporate all your learnings into your product. And consistently upload.

#3 —?In life, you don’t understand a concept on the first go -

But when you revise it, try to understand it and learn from different sources, you get a better understanding of what you’re doing and you start to appreciate it more. Plus, at least in uni, when I’m understanding something and I know that I can confidently solve a particular problem, I tend to like that subject more.

Just like that, in business, if you’re embarking on something you haven’t tried before. Don’t sweat it. You just need to understand what’s going on and trust the process. Ties back to staying consistent.

#4 —?Getting help isn’t a sin y’know -

In uni, I loved the fact that the professors were ready to support me in my learning whenever I wanted, all I had to do was contact them and set up a meeting.

I do understand that a lot of people may not have that luxury, but take a look at this concept in a business POV. Starting a business and learning everything may seem intimidating, which is why it’s best recommended to get a mentor who is ready to help you figure out how to proceed with your current situation.

This may get pricey depending on who you approach, but it is always worth it in the long run.

#5 —?Self study is mandatory -

When you learn something, if you want to retain it, you have to study that concept more than once.

The first time you study something in university will be at uni itself, then the second and third time’s at home, and lastly you study before the exam. Since you’ve properly studied the concept 4 times… there is no way you don’t know anything. You’ve put in the work, and that will most definitely pay off!

Same thing in business my friends, even if you have a mentor, the best mentor in the world, and he teaches the best. There’s no point of him teaching you anything if you don’t put in the hours to understand it yourself and apply the techniques taught to you.

Quote of the day -

The teacher can only show you the best path to success, it’s your job to walk through it and succeed.

That wraps up ‘The Extreem 5’. How many of them did you already know? Comment down below.

I ‘Grind’ while you sleep

You being able to take on those sleepless nights and ‘grind’ while all of your friends are sleeping, will put you ahead in the race. No doubt about it.

If you can work harder, smarter and faster all together, then you’re like a force which nobody can stop.

There’s one more thing I’d like to recommend, which I believe is very important.

Don’t get easily influenced by other people, there’s so many who try to do so every single day. You’ll get offers from different people for slacking off, fooling around and motivating you to not pursue your goals.

It’s not worth it, trust me. I’ve seen so many people stray away from their goals, just so that they can enjoy themselves for a while.

Remember this one thing, and it will at least stop you from going down the wrong rabbit hole.

It’s your choice to listen — not mine

At the end of the day, all I can do is give advice, nothing else. I can’t come to you and make you do your work, nobody can and nobody will.

Understand that if you don’t really give a $h_t about your life, then you’ll be stuck in the ‘trenches’ forever.

Till then!
