Happy Friday Linkedin Family! ??????
You know I was in Gartner IT Symposium, Kochi India…. (You don’t know yet, even after I bragged about it for more than a week… ?? ) Yeah, I know I am doing it again, I swear I tried stopping myself! ??
Anyway, where was I? Ah, the Gartner IT Symposium – where IT wizards gather to discuss the future while sipping on their coffee.
I mean, who needs regular coffee when you can have a triple-shot, machine-learning-infused, AI-enhanced, blockchain-backed latte? ??????
Walking into the symposium felt like stepping into the Silicon Valley version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Instead of Oompa Loompas, there were developers in iconic T-shirts, and instead of everlasting gobstoppers, there were promises of everlasting digital transformation. I half-expected someone to hand me a golden ticket to the cloud. ?????? no, I am not talking about Azure…. ??
Lesson one: Add "AI" in front of anything, and voila – you've got everyone's attention.????
Forget about making a difference; it's all about creating the illusion of progress. If you're not using AI, you're practically living in the IT Stone Age. Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) has never been so tech-savvy. ????
Lesson two: Forget plain English; if you want to be taken seriously, you need to invent your jargon.? ?? ?? ??
The more convoluted, the better. Who cares about simplicity? We're in the era of sophisticated obfuscation. If people don't understand you, it's not your fault – it's just that your intellect is operating on a higher plane. ???? (I know it's funny in a way!)
Lesson Three: most important one…. (Drum rolls please ??????.) And let's not forget the revelation that rocked my IT world – data used to be king, but now it's just a peasant. Events (basically, data with the context) are the new royalty.

Real-time integration is like the VIP pass to the hottest event in town, and if you're not capturing every fleeting moment, you might as well be stuck in a dial-up internet era. ??????
We've moved from the simplicity of data to the complexity of events, all while pretending that simplicity is still the key. It's like saying, "Let's complicate things to make it sound simple." Genius. ?????? I know it's needed but I also know that contextually it's not as easy as just changing gears!!
Now you know, why this post came after these many days, I was absorbing it before and introspecting before actually sharing! ????
So, here's to the Gartner IT Symposium ??– where the only thing more dynamic than the technology is the ability to boast about the experience for weeks if not months.?
Because let's face it, if you're not bragging about your Gartner attendance, did it even happen? ????
Cheers to a week filled with contemplating the existential crisis of data, events, and the ever-elusive IT cool factor! ??
Lastly, would like to share my gratitude, massive shoutout, and a virtual high-five to my incredible squad at the Gartner IT Symposium! ?????? Arun Kumar Sahu , Saurabh Mishra , Sailendra Kumar GS , Deepayan Mallick , and everyone who contributed to making the Gartner IT Symposium a memorable experience especially Pratham Rai , Anjali Goswami , Dave Aron Shivani Palepu and others – you know who you are! :)
Whether you were the one cracking jokes during the keynote, the one ensuring that there were enough chilled #budweiser after the hectic day, or the mastermind behind our impromptu strategy sessions, your presence made the symposium worth every hashtag.
May your code be bug-free, your coffee always hot, and your IT swagger unstoppable! ??????
