The same thing happened 25 years ago, when job boards were the new easy way to apply to jobs. So many more people applied for jobs, that employers had to implement databases, Applicant Tracking Systems, to help them screen out and manage the influx of resumes that were burying recruiters.

Modern versions of these ATSs, are also being used to screen out AI generated resumes, as employers are being flooded with thousands of resumes.
