Here at NTT you can shine within a collaborative and supportive team
There is so much thought leadership out there in terms of diversity and inclusion practices. At NTT, creating a sense of belonging and helping our people to feel connected and supported in their careers and growth journey is crucial.
This is what diversity and inclusion really means to us in the words of our global talent.

“Everyone here has a voice through the DEI strategy pillars, through our SpeakUp facility and the DEI networks. You have a distinct feeling of belonging, of being part of a team that values you. And then, there are so many learning and development opportunities and resources to help you grow and create new connections.
There’s a lot of promotion around organization-wide inclusion. Ever since the six diversity pillars was launched, we’ve seen a huge uptick in employee engagement through talks and events hosted. Our LGBTQ+ support network, Pride Alliance Network, has hosted many web events and we are finding more people putting up their hands to volunteer or be an ally.
This empowers everyone to normalize conversations in the workplace. It’s about holding up a mirror to ourselves, becoming a voice for the voiceless, supporting those in need and growing our awareness of the challenges faced by others.
Engaging people from all walks of life, skills and cultures allows for wider perspectives to be integrated when we brainstorm or innovate.
For me, inclusion is about involvement. We need to involve our peers and colleagues if we are to make positive changes and respectfully challenge our unconscious biases. We need to foster open dialogue and communication. That's what I see at NTT and it is what makes me proud to work here in DEI strategy.”

“NTT has been hard at work helping not only so transgender people, like myself, feel more comfortable but also the full range of the LGBTQIA+ community.
We have expanded our efforts in HR to help people in transition acquire more forms of self (fast-tracking name changes on our platforms, including pronouns for staff on HR platforms, developing the Inclusivity Guidelines). We want to enable staff to be their best selves, at home and work and to feel safe and included at work. This is all-encompassing inclusivity, even represented in our logo loop.
I feel that NTT is truly supportive of me as a transgender person. Everyone has a different story to share, a different outlook on life. This drives NTT to be a broader company that can operate in different markets and still understand the people and companies around it.
Working for NTT is like working for a ‘Google’ or ‘Apple’. We are future thinkers, market leaders and game changers. When it comes to inclusivity, we hire broadly. Inclusivity for a transgender person can be as simple as allowing staff to use the correct bathrooms with which they identify, or never leaving them off work functions. Enabling people to wear attire that makes them feel comfortable, or identifies their heritage. These are simple things but when you add them up, this is a huge shift.”

“NTT invites employees to actively participate in creating policies that enhance the working environment for colleagues with specific needs. Over the last year, we have enhanced our approach to providing support to parents, caregivers, LGBTQ+ and transgender colleagues through global policy. Co-creating these policies with members of these communities ensures that they address the things that matter most to our colleagues. By driving these policies at a global level, we create an environment where these needs are addressed consistently. We give employees a voice in creating a workplace that protects and includes all.
NTT actively encourages employees to create networks and provides the platforms for them to do so. Whether through a group with common interests, colleagues attending training together from across the globe, or creating diverse and cross-functional teams on a project, employees have the opportunity to meet people with common interests and concerns.
Ultimately, diversity of thought and the inclusion of people with different lived experiences is really important. It ensures that what we create – whether it's a product for internal or external use –?provides the best possible user experience and leads to improved satisfaction. To that end, we have created a workplace where our employees can bring and be their best selves. And that's why we say: here you can.
