One of the most common questions I'm asked is how to follow up with a prospect after they've downloaded content in a way that doesn't feel salesy.

After you cold call, send this email:

Subject: {first name}, did this make you more awesome?

Hi {first name},

If my marketing software is working, it looks like you checked out our 14 Ways to Attract More Qualified Leads.

Usually folks that see the guide tell me one of three things:

1. “Thanks for the resource Josh; however, at this time I’m just educating myself on new ways of attracting and hiring talent.”

2. “While I’m educating myself on new ways of attracting leads, I’m also open to learning more about X”

3. “Please call as soon as possible. I’m looking at my talent acquisition strategy and would like to take a look at what X has to offer.”
